I love the Brown sister’s series so much I almost did not want to finish this series. However, after having a rough June I knew I needed a comedic and comforting rom com to read.

Summary:
Eve Brown is the youngest of the brown sisters, but unlike her sisters, Eve doesn’t know what she would like to pursue career-wise. After Eve shuts down her wedding planner business, her parents freeze her trust and give her a few weeks to find a job or accept her parent’s offer to work with them.
Naturally, Eve freaks out and decides to take a drive into the countryside when she spies a help wanted poster outside of a bed and breakfast. Eve wings the interview, accidentally hits the owner, Jacob, with her car, and gets hired as the new chef.
As Jacob recovers, Eve discovers a new passion for cooking and thaws Jacob’s stubborn exterior. But can love bloom between the two? (of course)
Thoughts:
When I decided to read Act Your Age Eve Brown I was still grieving the death of a family member and this novel was a good distraction.
Talia Hibbert does it again. I adore the Brown sister books, and Evie’s story was just what I needed to read during my grieving period. Like the previous novels in this series, Hibbert combines humor with romance and serious topics. This novel revolves around Evie struggling to find a job she adores and living on her own. The previous novels covered topics such as mental health and chronic illness, but this one focuses on autism.
Besides The Kiss Quotient and its sequels by Helen Hoang, autistic characters are very much a minority in romance novels. So I was pleasantly surprised that Hibbert included neurodivergent characters, and I very much enjoyed it.
This novel starts strong, and that’s when Eve hits Jacob with her car. Immediately after, Eve offers to flash her tits to check if Jacob has a concussion. Which immediately made me laugh out loud.
This novel is a romantic comedy with some sex scenes and mature language. So if you’re looking for a good read check out this entire series.

until next time I’ll be living and reading libros,
