Every year I share novels I want to read during Latinx heritage month (also known as Hispanic Heritage Month) even though I read novels by Latine authors year-round, I often save some for this month-long celebration.
You might have noticed my previous Latinx tbr for the past two years always feature Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno Garcia, and this year is no different friends. But this year, I want to get serious and finally sit down and read this novel!

If you have not read Amparo Ortiz’s Blazewrath Games, I am insisting you add it to your Tbr (To be Read) pile right now. This young adult fantasy series takes readers to the Blazewrath Games and Dragonblood ring; and is one of diverse magic users, dragons, and friendship. This series also has a diverse cast of characters and an incredible magic system.
In the first novel, Lana Torres joins the tournament as part of team Puerto Rico, and she loves it. However, a previous competitor cursed his dragon, the Sire, and now that dragon threatens to end the games and take over the world.

I am a casual figure skating fan but a year-round enemies to lover fan. So when From Lukov with Love caught my eyes on the socials (Instagram and TikTok), I immediately added it to my Tbr. However, I eventually discovered that I would either have to purchase a copy or read it with Kindle Unlimited. I chose a kindle. Yes, I am back on my Kindle Unlimited binging. Prepare yourselves for some underrated reads.

But while From Lukov with Love may be an ice-skating romance, it is also a novel about learning to stay stubborn and placing your dreams in a chokehold.

Realm Breaker is a Young Adult High Fantasy adventure by Victoria Aveyard. Aveyard is best known for her YA Fantasy series Red Queen. I loved Red Queen but not so much its sequel. However, I decided to give Aveyard another chance with Realm breaker.

I enjoy reading science fiction novels, even the non-Star Wars kind, but I don’t spend a lot of time searching my next read in that genre. But when I found Polaris Rising By Jessie Mihalik and read the description, I was ready to ascend into space.
