Would you marry Lowe at first sight? I would

Hola libritos,

It has been quite some time without a new post, I’ve had a challenging year, but I finally returned with a review of Bride. And all I have to say is Ali Hazelwood has done it again! I am so sorry to the non-Ali Hazelwood fans because you’re going to be so sick of me and everyone else who enjoys cheesy romance novels.

Not only is Bride fun, spicy, and silly, but it’s refreshing to read a work that did not take itself so seriously. I just know Hazelwood had so much writing this novel.

And I enjoyed reading it! This novel is an adult paranormal romance with an arranged marriage between a vampire and a werewolf! Prepare to dive into a world with bite!

Take the Lead is the perfect read for reality show lovers

Hello Book lovers! I am back with another book recommendation. Today’s recommendation is for the contemporary romance lovers and for fans of Alexis Daria.

Take the Lead is Alexis Daria’s debut novel. And in case you didn’t know I love Alexis Daria’s writing. She knows how to craft the perfect romance with longing, pining, misunderstanding, and the sex scenes are great too. Take the Lead was published in 2017 as an ebook only but was reprinted and given a little text update just this year. Shout out to Netgalley, for the Advanced Reader’s copy of Take the Lead.

I received an advanced readers copy from Netgalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers: A soft romance for True Crime lovers!

Love in the Time of Serial killers by Alicia Thompson has the cutest cover and a curious plot! It immediately caught my attention, and I needed to add it to my Libby queue asap. So, I did.

If you know a few things about serial killers and true crime cases, you will probably enjoy this novel. Not just because our protagonist, Phobe, knows a lot about these cases but because she’s writing a dissertation on the True Crime genre. I found that really interesting!

Although this novel has a boy-next-door type of romance and a cute stray black cat, I really loved that it explores sibling relationships, friendships, and grief too!

Marichis x Romeo and Juliet? West Side Love Story is a perfect combo!

Two households, alive with Mariachi music,

In fair San Antonio, we lay our scene,

From ancient bitterness break new passion…

Hi lovers of libros, today I’m reviewing a book with the prettiest cover! West Side Love Story by Priscella Oliveras is inspired by Shakespeare’s famous Romeo and Juliet.

This Romeo and Juliet retelling is a super fun read. Undecided what R and J retelling to pick up? I will probably not help you narrow down your choices. However, West Side Love story has the main characters in rival Mariachi bands!
