October Favorites 2023

Feliz Spooky season everyone! It is once again that glorious time of year when pumpkins line porches, leaves change colors, and the air is crisp with the scent of rich stews. And you know what else is great about this season? I get to share my Fall favorites with you lovely readers.

And don’t worry these posts will have spooky good fall reads too!

Spooky Drinks

Coffee Bean has become my go to coffee shop, and the one drink I’ve been savoring this fall is the Pumpkin Iced Latte.

Vallarta’s Pumpkin Spice Horchata

If you live near this popular Hispanic grocery store or are looking for excuse to stop by while in SoCal- Vallarta, put a fall twist on Horchata! What makes this drink extra delicious is its simplicity. Horchata shares similar ingredients with Pumpkin Pie, and the combination feels like drinking this tasty dessert.

Crafts

I love my crafts, and this spooky season is no different. This year I’ve been painting.

You might remember my witchy cat from last year’s fall faves. I decided she needed a pastel makeover.

While I do love to walk through the craft store and admire the décor every season. I decided to pick up and paint this ceramic dog. It was fun and time consuming.

Shows

Witch’s Diner

If you’re a fan of Kdramas or just need a supernatural show to watch this October, check out Witch’s diner. Jeong Jin is recovering from a string of bad luck when she decides to open a restaurant with her mother, but when they’re scammed, Jin makes a bargain with a witch. Now Jin works for Hee Ra, a witch who grants people their deepest desires by cooking them fantastic dishes, although Jin soon begins to wonder if the price to fulfill these wishes is worthwhile.

This drama has some spooky elements, and a touch of realism. The ending is also very satisfying. And this drama is only 8 episodes long! You can watch right now for free at Viki.

HeartBeat

This paranormal romance is about a vampire, whose greatest desire is to become human, so he put himself in a 100-year slumber and is awoken by a cold-hearted woman. This kdrama stars one of my favorite actors Taec-yeon. This drama is available to watch on Amazon Prime.

I’m currently watching this drama and its does not take itself too seriously. The comedy elements will keep you feeling good.
